The Cajun Menu

Everything was amazing. The food, the service, literally everything. The owner even spoke to us about all of the different dishes, even offered samples of everything for us to try. By far the best Cajun food I have ever had. My toddler who is a picky eater ate his food (he even ate the alligator bites). Every single person that works here is so kind! Will definitely be going back.

Spicy and Tasty! Dropped in with the wife for a special Anniversary dinner and it was a terrific experience! The server went out of her way to make the dinner perfect; as did the rest of the staff! The food was 100% Cajun and Spicy! Had to get several drink refills cause this food was fire!!! Highly recommend it! Can't wait to go back! Thank you all for such delicious food and delightful service!!!

We ordered take out via website with advanced ordering. Ordering was simple, when we arrived to pick up the staff was exceptionally friendly. The restaurant is nice inside and a work in progress outside. Don't let the outside appearance stop you from coming in! Our food was ready as scheduled, packaged excellently. Flavor and portions are outstanding. This is added to our regular restaurant rotation.

Having recently heard about this new to Canton (they moved from Jasper after outgrowing their former location) Cajun restaurant we decided to give it a try for our Sunday lunch. Let me start by saying run don’t walk to give this local gem a try. Having eaten in New Orleans many times our opinion is that this is possibly the best Cajun food we’ve had outside of Nola. The owners are from LA and use generational family recipes. While we perused the menu we were offered samples of two of their most popular dishes. After our first taste we had no hesitation ordering the Cajun Sampler (red beans & rice, chicken & sausage gumbo, & shrimp étouffée) & the seafood gumbo. Each one was pure bliss with just the right amount of spiciness. We ended our meal with the hot beignets. We ate them so quickly there was only the one left when I remembered to take a quick picture. We are already anticipating trying more of the menu offerings. This spot will definitely be added to our rotation.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! As someone born in Louisiana and with my entire family being from there, I can say without hesitation—The Cajun Menu in Canton is the real deal. Y’all, this food transported me straight back home. We started with the gumbo appetizer, and it was perfection. Then came a roast beef poboy and a crawfish poboy that were so spot-on, I had to remind myself I wasn’t sitting in New Orleans. To say they were “to die for” doesn’t even cover it. While waiting, the owner and her husband came to our table and introduced themselves. Nicest people you could ever meet—and you can tell her love language is food, because she surprised us with a little “flight” of samples. We were absolutely blown away. The crawfish étouffée? Best I have ever eaten in my life. And I’ve had it a million times. Rich, flavorful, melt-in-your-mouth incredible. The red beans and rice? Let’s just say my Maw Maw would’ve handed the kitchen right over to this fine woman. That’s how authentic and delicious it was. And then the beignets… listen. I’m about to commit a Louisiana sin here, but they were hands down better than Café du Monde. Yes, I said it. On top of all that, our server Kelly was wonderful—friendly, attentive, and on point all night. If you’re from Louisiana and miss home cooking—go here. If you just love phenomenal food and genuine people—go here. Run, don’t walk. This place is a treasure, and Canton is lucky to have it. 10/10, no doubt about it.

My husband, granddaughter and I had our first Cajun Menu meal this evening. The whole experience was phenomenal!! We had the best red beans and rice I’ve ever put in my mouth!! The service was exceptional. They went over and above to make sure we enjoyed every bite. They even sautéed some shrimp for the baby and didn’t charge us for them! We will be back!! Sure the outside of the building is dated, but the inside is clean and the atmosphere is fun. They made it abundantly clear that if we weren’t 100% happy with our meal, they’d bring us something else. We love Henry’s but we loved this too…and it’s a lot closer to home. We’re so excited to have a new hole in the wall delicious place to eat in Canton.
